The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is claiming the success of its newly updated Tax Asaan app launched for simplifying the filing of tax returns. ProPakistani has already done a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to file your returns using the new tax app.
According to Dawn, the app has already been downloaded by over 10,000 users and around 100 people have used the app for filing their returns.
The app has been updated with an aim to bring more salaried individuals into the tax net. In addition, the app also allows easy e-payments, verifications, and sales tax registrations for businesses.
According to the details, 98 individuals have successfully used the app to file their tax returns, whereas another 1,753 have saved their draft returns, which they can complete at any time. At the time of writing, the app has already been installed 10,000-50,000 times from the Play Store.
Considering the app comes with a few deficiencies, as it focuses mainly on salaried individuals, the FBR is likely to launch the upgraded version catering to other individuals as well in the coming days. A senior FBR official told this to a private news outlet.
We will formally launch a new app in the next two to three days.
The users are demanding FBR to provide them with detailed tutorials for filing their returns using the app.
