Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) JF-17 Thunder has reaffirmed its credibility as the country’s best fighter jet by winning the Best Armament Trophy at Inter-Squadron Armament Competition.
The competition, which began on 10th October, was held at the Sonmiani firing range in Balochistan. Some of the best pilots from different squadrons of the force took part in the competition as No 11 Multirole Squadron was crowned the overall winner of the tournament.
The best marksman in the competition, Wing Commander Noman Akram, walked away with the coveted Sher Afgan Trophy for his pinpoint accuracy and professionalism.
“The Best Armament Trophy (BAT), introduced for the first time in this year’s competition, was shared by No 2 and No 8 squadrons, while No 14 Squadron won the Maintenance Trophy”, PAF said in a statement.
The main highlight of the competition was an exceptional performance by the JF-17 Thunder aircraft and it reaffirmed its position as the front line fighter of the PAF.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan reiterated PAF’s resolve to achieve self-reliance while modernizing and expanding existing combat capabilities.

International Armament Competition # Inter-Squadron Armament Competition
This competition was among Pakistani Airforce Squadron as a part of their training and operational exercises. So please provide the correct news. Interchanging Inter with International gives another meaning to a competition.
