The NCOC meeting was held at the request of the Federal government to seek agreement between provinces for allowing domestic transport and businesses to reopen once the current lockdown ends. However, all provinces opposed the running of buses, trains, and domestic flights but agreed to reopen markets.

All provinces, through NCOC, have recommended the federal government to reopen the OPDs of public hospitals and allow traders to open markets twice a day from 9 AM to 5 PM and 8 PM to 10 PM under strict SOPs.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) today to decide which businesses will reopen after provinces failed to reach an agreement on the matter.
