Indian Diplomats Ran Away Without Speaking With Kulbhushan Jadhav: Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has reacted strongly to the non-professional attitude of the Indian diplomats after their malicious agenda to malign Pakistan internationally was foiled.

On Thursday, Islamabad gave consular access to the Indian spy under agreed terms, but they left without hearing him while Jadhav kept calling them.

Soon after the development, the foreign minister issued a statement saying that consular access was granted according to the terms agreed upon, but Indian diplomats dishonored that.

India’s ill intentions have come to light. They didn’t want consular access. [Jhadav] kept asking the Indian diplomats to talk to him and they left.

Pakistan fulfilled all demands of the Indian diplomats, Qureshi said. They objected to the glass placed between them, so it was removed. They wanted the conversation not to be recorded, and it was followed. Still, they preferred to go away without even speaking with Commander Jadhav.

Calling it an astonishing behavior, the foreign minister questioned as to why India had requested consular access if it did not want to speak with Jadhav.

Even Kulbhushan was surprised over their behavior and stunned when the Indian officials left the meeting room without talking to him.

Qureshi said, through such tactics, India wants to create an impression that Pakistan is not willing to give consular access to their spy.

Jadhav – a serving commander of the Indian Navy who is also associated with RAW – has been in Pakistan’s custody ever since he was arrested on March 3, 2016, from Balochistan on the charges of espionage and terrorism.
