Recently, Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International Association, carried out a survey asking Pakistanis whether dual national Special Assistants and Advisors to Prime Minister could defend national interests.
The survey was conducted between 9 July and 10 August in which more than 1,300 Pakistanis participated.

According to the survey, 50% of Pakistanis considered dual national Special Assistants and Advisors to Prime Minister qualified to protect the country’s national interests. Whereas, 39% of Pakistanis were against dual national special assistants and advisors in the cabinet.
When asked whether dual national special assistants and advisors should renounce their foreign nationalities, 69% of Pakistanis answered that they should only keep the nationality of Pakistan. However, 38% of Pakistanis disagreed with the question and said dual national special assistants and advisors should continue working for Pakistan with both nationalities.

Moreover, 53% of Pakistanis argued that overseas Pakistani are more honest in comparison to those living in the country, 30% said both overseas Pakistanis and those living in the country have the same levels of honesty, and 17% declared overseas Pakistani worse than those living in the country.
57% Pakistanis observed that overseas Pakistanis are more educated than those living in the country, 29% said that both have the same levels of education, and 14% believed that Pakistanis living in the country are more educated than overseas Pakistanis.

54% Pakistanis declared overseas Pakistanis as more intelligent and efficient in comparison to those living in the country, 28% argued that both have the same intelligence levels, and 18% said that Pakistanis living in the country are smarter than those living abroad.
49% Pakistani argued that overseas Pakistanis are more patriotic than those living in the country, 36% believed that both have the same levels of patriotism, and 15% declared overseas Pakistanis to be less patriotic than those living in the country.
