Punjab government has started a new initiative to combat hunger and malnutrition among young students across the province.
According to details, Punjab’s School Education Department (SED) has partnered with Allah Wallay Trust, a food charity organization, for providing free meals to primary students.
Under the partnership, primary students all over Punjab will be provided with 1 free meal every day.
The free meal service has initially been introduced in 100 schools. It will be expanded to the rest of the province in the coming months.

My mother is a retired primary school teacher and she used to take bread and other food with her to school and give it to children who don’t bring food from home or don’t get lunch money. This initiative can do so much good for those kids. https://t.co/CGjIylsnQ9
