Here are the PSL 5 Individual Awards

Babar Azam-inspired Karachi Kings took home their first-ever PSL title after defeating Lahore Qalandars in the final. Where other batsmen failed to make a mark, Babar’s innings of 63* on a tricky pitch showcased his class as a batsman. He was awarded the man of the match for his brilliant performance.

Along with the PSL trophy, Babar took home individual trophies as well. Let’s have a look at all the awards for PSL 5:

Emerging Player of the Tournament

Haider Ali of Peshawar Zalmi was awarded the emerging player of the tournament for his excellent display with the bat. He scored 239 runs in 10 innings at an average of 26.55 and a strike rate of 157.23. He also scored a half-century in the tournament in a solid debut campaign for the talented middle-order batsman.

Best Batsman of the Tournament

Babar Azam was awarded the best batsman of the tournament for his excellent display throughout the tournament. He was the highest run-scorer in the tournament with 473 runs at an average of 59.12 and a strike rate of 124.14. He scored 5 half-centuries in the tournament, leading his side to their first PSL title.

Best Bowler of the Tournament

Shaheen Afridi continued his excellent run of form and finished as the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He picked up 17 wickets in 12 innings at an average of 19.52 and an excellent economy rate of 7.11. His displays earned him the award for the best bowler of the tournament.

Best Fielder of the Tournament

Lahore Qalandars’ opener, Fakhar Zaman, was excellent in the outfield as he grabbed 10 catches in the tournament, making him the best fielder of the tournament.

Best Wicket-Keeper of the Tournament

Ben Dunk was awarded the best wicket-keeper of the tournament for his excellent glovework behind the stumps. He got 9 dismissals in the tournament.

Man of the Tournament

Babar Azam was the mainstay of the Karachi Kings batting line-up and his brilliant performances throughout the tournament. His solid batting display earned him the man of the tournament award. Along with his batting, he also picked up 8 catches in the outfield, the third-highest in the tournament.
