Hammad Azhar Calls Out Maryam Nawaz Over Amateur Photoshop of Jalsa Images

The Vice-President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz, is often trolled on social media for her blatant lies. From the Qatari letter and the Calibri font issue to the Koi Jaidad Nahi Hai claim, a number of her statements and actions have led to jibes aplenty on social media platforms.

The daughter of the convicted premier, Nawaz Sharif, has again become the target for ridicule after being caught using amateur Photoshop to attempt to indulge in damage control of the lackluster power show at the Greater Iqbal Park, Lahore on Sunday.

Maryam Nawaz had hyped up the event on social and mainstream media and had declared it as a ‘do or die’ moment for the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) – an eleven-party opposition alliance against the incumbent government.

She had claimed that the people of Punjab would renounce the ‘selected’ government and that the nation would witness a gathering like never before at the venue.

However, video coverage by news channels showed that contrary to her claims, a relatively small crowd had turned up at the park.

Maryam Nawaz had tried to hide it by congratulating the people of Lahore from the stage for showing up in huge numbers.

Later on, she claimed during a press conference that thousands of people had listened to her address from outside the venue and from on the roads because of the overcrowding of the park, and lambasted the media for being pressured by the establishment for allegedly ‘incorrectly’ covering her jalsa.

Other prominent PML-N leaders who had posted pictures from old PTI gatherings and Maulana Khadim Rizvi’s funeral to show a fake image of a massive crowd attending the PDM rally have been exposed on Twitter.

Maryam Nawaz resorted to sharing drone footage that showed only the front-view of the average-sized crowd to pass it off as a huge one and shared a picture of herself waving with thousands of people in the background.

According to image editing experts, Maryam Nawaz had used Photoshop’s clone stamp tool to enlarge the crowd, and the Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Hammad Azhar, was among those who had caught her manipulation.

However, she has been unable to get away with her attempts, and the Twitterati has shown her no mercy for it:

  • The slogan “Vote ko izzat do” must be on the top list of most hypocritical slogans ever. They should admit their defeat and surrender their lust of power for the sake of Pakistan.

  • All these so called “democratic parties” are democratic just by their name. There is no democracy in them. Bs aik khandaan ki hi baadshahat hoti hai. Is democracy aur army dictatorship mai koi fark nahi.

  • Why this poor government afraid of jalsa,,, take notice of poverty, corruption and own performance
