Middle-order batsman, Kamran Ghulam, has attributed his success in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy to his coach, former Pakistan all-rounder, Abdul Razzaq. Ghulam said that Razzaq’s guidance has given him a solid chance to represent the national team in the upcoming series against South Africa.
Kamran Ghulam is in the form of his life and has been influential in KP’s run to the final. KP eventually finished the tournament as joint winners as the epic final ended in a tie.

Kamran Ghulam created history in the tournament by scoring the most runs in a single edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He finished as the leading run-scorer of the tournament and was awarded the best batsman of the tournament by PCB. He recently also won the domestic cricketer of the tournament award in PCB Awards 2020.
Ghulam scored 1,249 in 19 innings at an average of 62.45 including five centuries and as many half-centuries in the tournament.
Ghulam said that Razzaq helped him in identifying his strengths and maximizing them in the match.
“This season has given me a lot of confidence, and now I have more faith in my abilities than before. Having a legend like Abdul Razzaq as a coach has helped me in identifying my strengths, and now my aim is to build on them,” he said.

Ghulam will be eyeing the middle-order spot in the national team, especially after the disappointing performance by the batsmen in the ongoing tour of New Zealand. With Mohammad Wasim taking charge as the chief selector, Ghulam will be hopeful of making the national squad.
South Africa’s tour of Pakistan will begin on 26 January. The tour will include two Test matches and three T20Is.
