Pakistan Shuts Down Embassy in Washington DC for 3 Days

Pakistan’s embassy in Washington DC has been shut down as a precautionary measure in view of the rising number of Coronavirus cases.

According to a spokesperson for the Pakistani embassy, the embassy will remain closed for the next 3 days and consular services will remain suspended. However, online services for visa or passport will remain open.

While all employees will also be tested for Coronavirus, the embassy will reopen on 7 January after complete disinfection.

Note that the US remains the most affected country from the Coronavirus pandemic. So far, it has reported 21.1 million infections and 360,078 deaths due to the viral disease.
