Hafeez said that people talk about the abundance of talent that Pakistan has, but that talent isn’t being nurtured in the right way. Hafeez said that there is no doubt about the talent that Pakistan possesses, but talent alone cannot survive at the international stage.

Hafeez complimented the Indian cricket team for their exceptional Test series win against Australia away from home and said that Pakistan should look at the neighboring country and learn from them. Hafeez said that India achieved a massive feat by turning around their fortunes after being dismissed for 36 runs in the first Test and did it without their best batsman and captain, Virat Kohli.

Hafeez said that the difference between the two sides is the development of the talent pool. He said that India promotes products into their first team, meanwhile, Pakistan promotes talent. Hafeez said that a talented player will only perform for a little while before stagnating and declining, while products have the ability to become the best performers in the world.
