The management of the University of Peshawar (UoP) and Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan have decided to conduct their examinations online after heeding the protests against in-person examinations by their students.
According to a notification issued by the UoP, all the Heads of Departments (HOD) that have not yet conducted their mid-term fall examinations have been directed to take them online.

Furthermore, the notification read that the final-term online examinations would be subject to the directions of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Similarly, BZU has also assured the protestors that it will conduct online examinations.

Students have been staging protests outside their university campuses all across Pakistan, stating that since their classes had been conducted online, their examinations must also be taken online.
Some protests in Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad had turned violent and several students had sustained injuries in scuffles with policemen and university security guards.
