CEO of Hashoo Group and Chairman of Foree’s Board, Murtaza Hashwani, has claimed that Foree will be Pakistan’s first online payment system.

Hashwani noted that Foree is unique because users do not have to move money between different accounts using online banking and the service is unlike wallets, which only allow limited transaction facilities.

He said that Foree will facilitate overseas Pakistanis, especially in the Middle East, remit payments back home without the involvement of an agent or bank and at a minimum charge.

It will boost the e-commerce industry in Pakistan and will allow people to shop online from international brands and companies through real-time payments.

Foree had been set up with seed investment and future expansion will involve global companies and venture capitalists invest in Pakistan, helping to create at least 100,000 jobs in the country within two years, said Hashwani.

  • What about security of the accounts information punched in……if hacked, this will cause real havoc …….seriously doubt about these things especially when handled by our “intelligent”pakistani brothers….

      • When a generation with out morals and objective who wants to become rich over night is given vital role then what else will happen apart from scams.
        But finger crossed

    • if hacked? you do know the current size of Hashoo group right? they would have great talent at their disposal for this, secondly, Pakistani intelligent brothers can / and have built their own security systems being used around the world.

do a little research, prior posting. it would help you to not sound cynical.

    • Sad about ur little knowledge. What about security of ur USA accounts? Search about SolarWinds hack which leaked everything including homeland security and Microsoft and many big names? What about Google plus hack? What about many other famous password managers and banking hacks in USA. Even bitcoin wallets get hacked leave aside paper currency. So it seems our Pakistani brothers are intelligent but you’re the odd one out among us. The whole middle east system’s cyber security is managed by Pakistani and Indian engineers….. Go to your unintelligent parents!

  • We should support our Pakistani brothers. Pakistan’s economy is finally making good progress. Don’t be skeptical about it. If anything goes wrong we can always give our feedback to the developers and not to mention people have enormous influential power nowadays due to social media.

  • Well. Pakistani are intelligent.
For your knowledge Careem developed by Pakistani software developer .
For hacking purpose top class software has this problem.
    Well done keep it up.

  • This is a right step forward, in order to advance our economy. So far, global payment facilities like PayPal have been hesitant to do business in Pakistan. This is big loss for PayPal as emerging economies like Pakistan is where future e-commerce growth is taking shape. Saturated Western economies will have little room for growth as many big retail businesses and Malls are shutting down here in U.S.

  • Why are Pakistanis so pessimistic? Always on the back foot. Its a great initiative. Doing so will force us to enhance our online security protocol as well. Proud of Hashwanis

  • Being Hadhoo Group doesn’t mean anything when. It comes to hacking. Plus no one knows Hadhoo Group in the West or Americas. Why would on from the Western countries should rely on the name? Let’s get real. Foree and their parent organization must be transparent in securing personal data of it’s users. What compliance will they follow? CPNI & PCI are all American standards and so far very less banking institution has been hacked. Hope Hashoo Group’s CEO Murtaza Hashwani and team come up with more secure plan before jumping to launch.

  • With the FATF “sword hanging above our heads” how can we allow questionable companies to handle our money? Already, practices of money laundering and terror financing have brought enough damage to Pakistan’s reputation. The government must put a timely end to questionable companies wanting to take advantage of the country’s lax policies regarding money laundering if Pakistan is to ever come out of the FATF grey list.

  • Fingers crossed this is providing new avenue to the organised scammers working in a organised setup under the umbrella of so called callcenters in a country where cyber la s hardy exists and barely implemented. Results mushroom growth

strengthening the cyber laws and provide sense of security to users should be the first priority before launching any such app

    A fruit for thought
“digital wallet scams / thefts / frauds have spiked over the period of last one year since the trend changed to online shopping due to covid”

Practically speaking nothing is being done by FIA Cyber Crime all they are doing is making tiktok so called educational campaign to get limelight

  • ایک لاکھ نوکریاں بس ….. لعنت
ہمارا کپتان تب تک ایک کروڑ نوکریاں دے چکا ہو گا

  • i have been paying all my bills including utilities online for about ten years in different states in the us. not once my account was hacked or misused in anyway!!! i never miss payments nor pay late fees or penalties which i used to pay routinely before going online!
