South African legend, Dale Steyn, has apologized for his comments regarding the Indian Premier League (IPL). Steyn, who is currently taking part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), recently spoke in an interview about the impact of money in the IPL.
Steyn said that cricket is the main focus in PSL, while money rules over cricket in IPL. He revealed that this was the reason he decided not to take part in the IPL this season.

His comments were not taken well by IPL fans across the border, and he was subject to plenty of trolls online.
Steyn took to Twitter to apologize for his comments and said his comments were not intended to be degrading and apologized for hurting the sentiments of the fans.
IPL has been nothing short of amazing in my career, as well as other players too.
My words were never intended to be degrading, insulting, or comparing of any leagues.
Social media and words out of context can often do that.My apologies if this has upset anyone.
