According to sources, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering holding the entire season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 in Karachi. The second phase of the tournament, including the playoffs and the final, is originally scheduled to be played in Lahore, but the PCB is considering shifting those matches to Karachi.

According to PCB, it will be safer and easier to hold the matches in one city due to the management of the bio-secure bubble.
The PSL was halted for a day due to Islamabad United’s player, Fawad Ahmed, testing positive for COVID-19. After further tests, three more individuals, including two foreign players and a member of a coaching staff tested positive for the virus. The individuals have been placed in an isolation facility within the bio-secure bubble and the tournament has resumed after a minor hiccup.

Sources revealed that the PCB is likely to reach to a decision within the next 24 hours after discussing the issue with all the relevant stakeholders.
The sixth edition of PSL is in full flow with some exciting matches being played at the National Stadium Karachi. The pitch at the NSK has proven to be batting friendly and with 12 matches already played at the venue, the teams batting first are unable to win a match yet. The blueprint in this PSL has been simple, win the toss and bowl first. The trend might continue if PCB decides to hold all the matches in Karachi.
