Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 775 Will Debut Soon: Leak

Now that the launch of the flagship Snapdragon 888 chip is out of the way, chipmaker Qualcomm is now focusing on the mid-range chips. One of these chips is going to be the Snapdragon 775, which will be the successor to the Snapdragon 765G.

New details for the upcoming Snapdragon 775 SoC have appeared online, indicating that a launch is not far from now. Some older reports have said that Qualcomm plans to announce the mid-range SoC by the end of this month.

The leak comes from a Telegram group focused on Xiaomi-related leaks, which may mean that it will debut with a Xiaomi device.

According to the leak, the Snapdragon 775 will be based on the 5nm node, which would be a first for the 700 series. It also shows that the CPU configuration will be based on ARM-based Kryo cores and it will have support for LPDDR5 RAM as well as UFS 3.1 for snappy performance.

Moving on to camera capabilities, the chip will have support for 4K video recording at 60 FPS and up to three 28MP sensors working at the same time, or 64+20MP configuration at 30fps. For connectivity, you will get 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, SA, and NSA support, and much more.

According to benchmark results, the Snapdragon 775 SoC should perform quite a bit better than its predecessor.
