The Asia Cup T20 2021 has been postponed due to the non-availability of two major teams, India and Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced this in an official statement.
PCB Chairman, Ehsan Mani, briefed the BoG on matters relating to the International Cricket Council and this year’s ICC T20 World Cup, and the ACC Asia Cup, which has now been postponed to 2022.
India has qualified for the ICC Test Championship final scheduled for June 18-22 in England, and therefore, was unavailable for the regional tournament, scheduled for mid-June as well. Though India partially agreed to play the tournament with second-string players, Pakistan didn’t fancy the idea.
