Babar Azam Wins Hearts By Showing Solidarity With India

Pakistan’s all-format captain, Babar Azam, sent prayers to the people of India as the country is struggling due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The neighboring country has been badly affected by the virus, recording over 352,000 positive cases over the past 24 hours. There has been a shortage of oxygen in various parts of the country as the hospitals are overcrowded.

Babar took to Twitter to show solidarity with India. He wrote, “Prayers with the people of India in these catastrophic times. It’s time to show solidarity and pray together. I also request all the people out there to strictly follow SOPs, as it’s for our safety only. Together we can do it.”

Babar requested the people to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to tackle the spread of the virus. Babar added that the people need to be united to eradicate COVID-19 from our lives.

Many famous Pakistan personalities have come forward to show their support for the people of India. Earlier, the world’s fastest bowler, Shoaib Akhtar, urged the Indian authorities to postpone the Indian Premier League (IPL) and use the resources to help the country tackle the COVID-19 situation.

Citizens of India have appreciated the support of their Pakistani counterparts and have praised the personalities for raising their voices. Several Indians have voiced their disappointment that Indian celebrities have not raised their voice in support of their people.
