Misbah said Babar will have to deal with different situations in different matches and the experience gained from such situations will make him a better captain in the future.

“When you become the captain of the side, as you gain more experience and go through different situations, your tactics continue to improve accordingly. When you go through these situations, again and again, you get an idea of what you need to do in them. You keep learning about these strategies as you play more matches. I think the same applies to Babar,” Misbah said.

Misbah also praised the remarkable cricketing sense of the star batsman and labeled him as a world-class cricketer. He said that Babar’s game awareness and reading of the situation is outstanding and his understanding of the strategies of the opponents makes him a magnificent captain.

The head coach believes that Babar is the right choice to take Pakistan cricket forward and the more he captains the side, the more Pakistan cricket will improve.

Babar became the first Pakistan captain in history to win his first four Test matches as captain, winning back-to-back Test series against South Africa and Zimbabwe. Babar surpassed the record of Waqar Younis and Saleem Malik, who had won 3 out of their first 4 matches as captain of the national side.
