Samsung’s New Smartwatch to Come With Much Better Design and Hardware: Leak

Yesterday, Google and Samsung announced that they were joining hands to make Wear OS better but neither of the companies shared the nature of their collaboration.

However, soon after the announcements, reliable tipsters @IceUniverse and @RQuandt shed some light on Samsung’s upcoming wearable. We already know that the watch will ditch Tizen and run Wear OS instead.

New rumors by @Iceuniverse suggest that it will be powered by Qualcomm’s 5 nm chipset. If this rumor is true, Samsung’s next smartwatch could have some serious performance while improving battery life. For comparison, the Snapdragon Wear 4100 that debuted with the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 is developed on 12 nm process and Samsung’s Exynos 9110 found on the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is built on the 10 nm process.

In addition to this, the upcoming Samsung watch is expected to arrive with smaller bezels and a flat 2D display. However, we are unsure if Samsung will continue to use the rotating bezel action used for scrolling through menus. Roland Quandt chimed in claiming that the Watch Active 4 will come in aluminum and stainless steel variants.

Although Google has mentioned a few things we can expect from the new Wear OS, a lot of information is still lacking. The announcement about Google’s and Samsung’s partnership was more of a teaser.

Hence, we are expecting more details to be revealed soon.
