Earlier this year, rumors about Xiaomi working on a 200W fast charging solution for wired charging were making rounds on the internet.
Almost three months after the rumors first surfaced, the company unveiled its latest HyperCharge fast charging solution, showing what we can expect from Xiaomi phones in the future. The newly announced tech charges a compatible smartphone with 200W wired charging promising to top up a 4000 mAh battery in just 8 minutes. For comparison, Xiaomi’s 120W wired charging solution can charge a 4500 mAh cell in 23 minutes.

Alongside unmatched wired fast charging rates, the Chinese company also unveiled its 120W wireless charging that can charge a phone in just 15 minutes. The new wireless charging tech has arrived as a successor to Xiaomi’s 80W wireless charging that can fully charge a 4000 mAh battery in 19 minutes.
Xiaomi demoed both technologies in a video powering the custom build version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro.

With 200W wired charging, it only takes three minutes to charge the battery up to 50 percent. On the other side, the all-new 120W wireless charging can charge a 4,000mAh battery to 10 percent in just 1 minute, 50 percent in 7 minutes, and 100 percent in only 15 minutes.
We will most likely see the first phone touting this tech by the end of the year.
