Pakistan’s ace left-arm fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi, and veteran middle-order batsman, Fawad Alam made huge leaps in ICC Test player rankings after their wonderful display in the second Test match against the West Indies. Babar Azam also moved up in the rankings after another brilliant batting display in the first innings.

Shaheen was named as the player of the series for his magnificent performance on the tour. He finished as the leading wicket-taker of the series as he picked up 18 scalps at an average of 11.27 in the two-match series. As a result, Shaheen climbed up ten spots in the ICC Test bowler rankings and is now ranked number 8 in the world, the highest-ranked Pakistani bowler.
On the other hand, Fawad was also brilliant throughout the series. He scored 180 runs including a half-century and a fighting century in the second Test match. His unbeaten 124 runs in the first innings helped Pakistan to recover from a precarious position and put a challenging total on the board as Pakistan won the match by 109 runs.
Fawad achieved his career-high ranking as he climbed up 34 places to number 21 in the world.

Pakistan’s star batsman, Babar Azam, also moved up the rankings as he scored a half-century in the first innings of the second Test match. Babar had a good tour as he finished as the leading run-scorer in the series, scoring 193 runs at an average of 48.25. Babar climbed up one place and is now ranked as the 7th best batsman in the world.
