Thousand of liters of furnace oil worth Rs. 5-6 million was spilled from a freight train, news outlets reported on Sunday.
According to the Pakistan Railways, the joints of the freight train that was carrying thousands of liters of oil, opened up near Nawabshah, causing oil worth millions to spill.

The driver and assistant driver of the train and the staff at the station all tried to stop the flow of the oil but failed to do so. Subsequently, the train lost all its oil in three hours.
Pakistan Railways technical team reached the spot where the incident occurred and is investigating the matter.
Police officials stated that the security around the vicinity has been tightened and the public has been advised to stay away from the site and nearby areas due to the risk of fire.
