The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced to launch two new housing projects in Peshawar and Mardan in the next two months.
The decision was made during a meeting of the housing department at the Chief Minister House on Sunday.
While chairing the meeting, CM Mahmood Khan approved Tokra-III Housing Project on the Ring Road, Peshawar, and High-Rise Flats Project in Mardan. He directed the authorities concerned to complete all the pre-requisites for these housing schemes within the stipulated time.
The Chief Minister said that the provincial government’s measures to provide low-cost housing facilities to people with low income are in line with the Prime Minister’s vision.
Provincial Ministers, Dr. Amjad Ali and Mohibullah, Secretary Housing and Director General Provincial Housing Authority and other senior officials were among the participants of the meeting.
The participants were briefed on the progress made on the development projects of the housing department so far.
They were informed that the Tokra-III Housing Project consisting of 1,080 flats over 79 kanals is currently in the planning and designing stage, and will be launched next month.
The meeting was told that the High-Rise Flats project in Mardan will also be rolled out within two months. Further, the development work on the Hangu Housing Society in Hangu will also be initiated soon.
Further, the balloting process for 2,510 plots has been completed in the Jalozai Housing Scheme Phase-III. Progress has also been made on Jalozai flats that consist of 1,320 flats. It was said that the department has received 750 applications for the project so far, and the last date for applications has been extended till 31 August.
