After Afghanistan’s historic win over Pakistan in the World Cup 2023, former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan showed his joyful celebration with Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
Irfan Pathan, currently working as a broadcaster, joined Rashid on the field to dance to some Bhangra beats, and later, he posted a message for him on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

It must be remembered that this is Afghanistan’s first-ever victory against Pakistan in ODIs and also their second win in the 2023 World Cup. They previously defeated the defending champions, England, in this mega event.
Afghanistan comfortably chased down the challenging total of 283 runs, losing only 2 wickets. The Green Shirts struggled to take wickets and apply pressure on the Afghan batters, ultimately failing to defend the total.
After a disappointing defeat to Afghanistan in the World Cup, the Men in Green are still standing in 5th place on the points table with 4 points. Afghanistan has jumped to the 6th place with this win, also accumulating 4 points.

@yourself Irfan Pathan is free to celebrate the win but then he should leave the job of commentator. You are not allowed to represent one team when your job is to act as a professional commentator. These are ICC rules and he should follow the rules.
I don’t think there is any such ICC rule. Commentators take sides all the time. Especially if their own country is playing the match. They are commentator, not empires. They do not affect the outcome of the match, weather are biased or not.
We need to be okay with people having opinions and choices. Irfans like Afgans , why is it an issue ? Even if he is a commentator.
A commentator cannot be biased in international matches. This is complete lack of professionalism. ICC must take action.
