Two Pakistani Football Players Set To Join Azerbaijan Club

In a significant development for Pakistani football, striker Adeel Younas and center-back Waqar Baloch are poised to join FK Difai Agsu, a prominent club in Azerbaijan’s second-tier football league.

This move marks a notable step in the careers of both players and highlights that the Pakistani talent is good enough to venture into international leagues.

Sources close to the negotiations have confirmed that while discussions are still underway, both Adeel Younas and Waqar Baloch are expected to don the Difai Agsu jersey for the upcoming season.

The duo’s transfer highlights the increasing recognition of Pakistani footballers on a global stage and offers an exciting opportunity for them to showcase their skills in a competitive European environment.

Popo Football Club forward Adeel Younas, known for his striking prowess has already made four appearances for Pakistan under head coach Stephen Constantine.

Waqar Baloch, on the other hand, is renowned for his defensive solidity and he represented Pakistan against Saudi Arabia as well as Tajikistan in the June window.

His commanding presence at the back and his performances for KRL (Khan Research Laboratories) in the National Challenge Cup have heralded him with the opportunity to join one of the most significant leagues in Europe.

It should be noted that Pakistan’s premium centre-back Easah Suliman is currently playing in the top division of Azerbaijan league for Sumqayit FC and he will feature in the Europa Conference league with his club next season.

This potential transfer not only signifies a personal milestone for Younas and Baloch but also reflects the expanding horizons of local Pakistani football talent.
