The Esports World Cup is set to host a unique celebrity gaming event featuring Brazilian football legend Neymar in Riyadh. The superstar, who now calls Saudi Arabia home after joining Al Hilal in 2023, will headline a special showmatch on August 20 at 9:00pm Saudi Arabia time at the Qiddiya Arena, Boulevard Riyadh City.
Neymar, part-owner of Furia Sports, a renowned Brazilian esports organization, will join forces with professional players and local talents for this special event. He will compete in exhilarating showmatch tournaments across three popular games: Counter-Strike 2, Rocket League, and Tekken 8.
Fans can also look forward to engaging in mini-challenges, exclusive interviews, and exciting interactions, including raffles for signed merchandise.
The Esports World Cup, held for the first time in Saudi Arabia, features 22 games across 21 titles over a two-month period, boasting a record-breaking prize pool of $60 million. Surprises are expected, with Neymar’s involvement promising to add a unique flair to the show.

The EWC Celebrity Showmatch featuring Neymar will be broadcast live on the Esports World Cup Central channel and through media partners. The Esports World Cup, the largest gaming and esports festival globally, began on July 3 and continues until August 25 at Boulevard Riyadh City.
