Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has personally overseen the interviews and finalized the selection of vice-chancellors for 11 universities across the province.
According to 24NewsHD TV, sources revealed that Dr. Zubair Iqbal Ghouri has been chosen as the Vice-Chancellor for Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan.
Dr. Zubair is currently the pro-rector at the NAMAL Hyderabad campus. He completed his MA in English from BZU Multan between 1992 and 1995 and continued his studies at Westminster University, London, and a university in Thailand.
The official appointment notification for the selected Vice-Chancellor is expected soon from the Governor of Punjab.
BZU Multan has been without a permanent Vice-Chancellor for nearly two years, with Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah currently serving in an acting capacity.
