Prime Minister Sharif also met with the winners of the Brave 85 event, acknowledging their medal-winning performances. He praised the athletes and the federation for their contributions to Pakistan’s growing reputation in the international sports arena. PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed his full support for the federation and its vision of creating champions who will bring national pride and enhance Pakistan’s image on the global stage.

Under the leadership of Omar Ahmed, the Pakistan MMA Federation successfully organized the largest sporting event in the country’s history. The event hosted over 300 athletes from 18 countries and was broadcast to 144 countries, translated into 22 languages, reaching an impressive 40 million households worldwide.

The Prime Minister commended Omar Ahmed for orchestrating such a major event without financial support from the government. He lauded the federation’s efforts to build a self-sustaining sporting economy, drawing parallels to the success of cricket in Pakistan.

Shehbaz Sharif recognized the potential of MMA in character-building and its mental health benefits for recreational practitioners. Omar Ahmed highlighted the sport’s potential as a tool for deradicalization and countering extremism among youth by channeling their energies towards achieving national glory.
