The seventh edition of the Karachi Youth Football League is set to see an impressive 1,300 participants, including both boys and girls, taking to the field this year.
Organized by Standard Chartered in collaboration with Karachi United, the league promises to be a significant platform for young athletes across the city.
A total of 210 matches will be played at six different venues across Karachi including Khyber Muslim Ground in Baldia Town, Old Golimar Football Ground, Jam Eleven Ground in Malir, Karachi United Clifton, and Kakari Ground in Lyari.
These venues have been strategically chosen to ensure the league is accessible to children from various neighborhoods, highlighting the event’s commitment to inclusivity.
Standard Chartered, as part of its community service initiative, has been a key partner in the league since its inception.
This year marks the seventh consecutive year of the bank’s involvement, underscoring its long-standing commitment to promoting youth sports development.
The league aims to foster not only physical fitness but also values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance among young players.
The collaboration with Karachi United a prominent football club known for grassroots development further strengthens the league’s focus on nurturing local talent and providing a platform for aspiring footballers in the region.
Recently the Karachi United women’s team reached third place in the National Women’s Championship which was conducted by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
The event is expected to draw significant attention from sports enthusiasts and the local community, boosting interest in youth football across Karachi.
