Khurram Shahzad was rested during the Champions One Day Cup with the England series in mind, and his medical reports have been cleared. Aamer Jamal, who missed the series against Bangladesh due to fitness problems, has also recovered from his injury. Jamal sustained the injury while playing county cricket, but has since regained full fitness, participating in two matches of the Champions One Day Cup.

The announcement of Pakistan’s squad for the England series is expected in the coming days. According to reports, there will be major changes in the squad as several players from the Bangladesh series could be replaced. The squad will most probably be announced after the final of the Champions One Day Cup.

Then, the national team will report to Multan on October 2 to begin preparations for the series. England’s team will also arrive in Pakistan on the same day.

The PCB confirmed the schedule last week, with a slight adjustment. The second Test, originally planned at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from October 15-19, will now be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The remaining two Tests will be played as originally planned, i.e., October 7-11 in Multan and October 24-28 in Rawalpindi.
