Vivo Shares Camera Samples for X200 Series and Details Periscope Camera

Vice President of Vivo, Jia Jingdong, teased the new X200 series in a recent Weibo post. The VP also shared images of the X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini, along with some camera samples.

The Pro models are to come with a redesign: the new “full-depth micro-quadruple design,” which showcases an elegant flat aesthetic layout. While the standard X200 wasn’t presently mentioned, it’s expected to feature a similar design language. Vivo also showcased the colors and designs of both phones.

A major highlight of the X200 series is its performance, driven by the flagship Dimensity 9400 chipset. This powerful processor can handle up to 3 billion functions at a time, assuring smooth AI task execution. Additionally, Vivo has leaped up in battery technology, with the X200 series featuring a semi-solid battery that offers the highest energy density ever seen in the industry, resulting in improved longevity and efficiency.

Camera Capabilities

As for camera performance, both the X200 Pro and Pro Mini come equipped with the 1/1.28″ LYT-818 sensor, co-developed with Sony, and the V3+ imaging chip from the X100 Ultra. The X200 Pro has a 200MP 85mm f/2.67 periscope zoom lens, while the Pro mini features a 70mm f/2.57 periscope camera, offering exceptional telephoto capabilities. The Vice President also shared some camera Samples.

Video recording is another strong point of the X200 series, with 4K slow-motion video at 120fps. The series also introduces a “4K backlit movie portrait” mode to deliver industry-leading exposure control for capturing clear portraits in difficult lighting conditions.

For vloggers and video enthusiasts, the Pro models support 10-bit Vivo log video recording, enabling enhanced color grading for post-production. Additionally, the X200 series adds a 135mm portrait lens, expanding its range of focal lengths to capture detailed and beautiful images.
