The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad has announced that its consular services will be temporarily suspended from October 14 to 17. This suspension is due to heightened security measures being implemented in preparation for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of Government meeting, which is scheduled in the capital.
During this period, while the consular services in Islamabad will be unavailable, the regional offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Gujrat will remain fully operational. These regional offices will continue to provide uninterrupted consular services to the public, ensuring that essential diplomatic and administrative functions are maintained throughout the suspension in the capital.
