The draws for AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers have been announced with Pakistan once again being grouped with arch-rivals India.
Pakistan has been placed in Group B after the draws were conducted at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Indonesia (hosts), Hong Kong, China, India, and Kyrgyz Republic will keep Pakistan company.
The 19 teams aiming to find a way to the main draw have been placed into four groups – three groups of five and one group of four to contest in a centralized league format from January 11 to 19, 2025.
Group A will see Thailand, Lebanon, Bahrain, Palestine, and Iraq competing for progress while Uzbekistan will have Turkmenistan, Australia, the Philippines, and Kuwait to contest within Group C
Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Macau, and hosts Myanmar have been drawn in Group D.

Nine teams will make their way to the main championship– the top two of each group and the best third-placed team among all groups – joining hosts China and 2018’s top two, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Japan.
Pakistan will be aiming for its first qualification alongside Australia, India, Iraq, Kuwait, Kyrgyz Republic, Myanmar, Palestine and the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the qualified teams will be put through another draw prior to the start of the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup splitting them into three groups of four; the top two finishers in each group and the two best third-placed teams will then advance to the last eight.
A direct qualification for the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup will await the top three finishers at the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup which will take place later in 2025.
The AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup will be contested from May 7th to May 18th, 2025 with Iran defending its title.
