Multiple times Tekken champion Arslan Ash has expressed deep dissatisfaction with the game in its current state. While the former Tekken World Tour Champion usually overcomes most obstacles in his path, Arslan has said that he feels that the game has regressed as a whole.
Speaking about the state of the game on social media site X, the five-time EVO Champion said that he has started to fall into a state where he gets more dejected the more he plays the game. Ash said,
It feels like the game has devolved into a single launcher, followed by 50/50 mix-ups, and that’s it.
It seems Arslan Ash is not alone in feeling this way, with multiple Tekken pros responding in agreement with similar sentiments.
“I agree. It has its fun moments, but too often a round goes down to one launch, then chips and mixes with heat. I hope they change a lot next season,” said Kaizur, an acclaimed player from the USA.
Arslan further stressed that Tekken 8 required systematic changes more than tweaks to the game balance.
The Tekken World Tour Finals are only a few months away, and Arslan has already locked up direct qualification for the event.
