Half of Pakistan Squad Leaves for Australia Tour [Video]

Pakistan cricket team’s adventure to Australia has begun with seven members of the squad already departing to take part in the upcoming white-ball series Down-under.

The returning trio of Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah were the notable names on the first flight to Australia with the rest of the squad set to join them tomorrow.

The triumvirate was widely expected to make their international returns after being dropped from the recently concluded test series against England.

Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to begin its preparations for the 3 ODI and 3 T20I series in Melbourne from November 1st with the first game set to be played on November 4th.

There is plenty of intrigue surrounding the series with both PCB and Cricket Australia naming squads that feature plenty of changes with one eye on the future. Pakistan will begin its new life under the captaincy of Mohammad Rizwan as they look to earn a first T20I series win over the hosts since 2018 and a first ODI series win since 2022.

Schedule:

  • 4 November: ODI, MCG, Melbourne
  • 8 November: ODI, Adelaide Oval, Adelaide
  • 10 November: ODI, Perth Stadium, Perth
  • 14 November: T20I, The Gabba, Brisbane
  • 16 November: T20I, SCG, Sydney
  • 18 November: T20I, Bellerive Oval, Hobart
