Lahore Police Shares Traffic Plan for Raiwind Tablighi Gathering

The Lahore Traffic Police have finalized all preparations for the annual Tablighi Ijtema in Raiwind.

CTO Lahore has announced that the event will be organized in two phases, with the first phase taking place from Thursday, October 31, to Sunday, November 3, and the second phase from November 7 to November 10.

SP Saddar Shehzad Khan will lead the arrangements, supported by 13 DSPs and 203 traffic inspectors under divisional officers’ supervision.

110 patrolling officers, 999 traffic wardens, 10 forklifts, and 5 breakdown vehicles have been deployed to manage the influx of attendees,

A special control room and camp office have been set up in Raiwind for better monitoring.

The authorities have allocated seven parking stands specifically for participants’ vehicles, and parking will not be allowed outside these designated areas. The public will receive continuous updates on traffic conditions through Rasta FM and the Rasta app.

CTO Lahore, Ammara Athar, assured that all routes will be clear for ambulances and emergency vehicles. Traffic wardens have been instructed to stay alert for suspicious activity or unattended objects.

Participants coming from GT Road will be directed to Thokar Niaz Baig via the Kala Shah Kaku Interchange on the motorway. Similarly, travelers from Rawalpindi and Islamabad are advised to follow the motorway to reach Thokar Niaz Baig en route to Raiwind.

Those arriving from Okara can use the Manga Bypass, while attendees from Kasur will enter through the designated route at Lalyani Sui Asal. Vehicles from Bhatti Chowk will be guided to parking at Burhan Chowk via Bara Oil Mills Chowk.

Khawas Road and Sundar Road are reserved solely for emergency vehicles. Entry to Raiwind from Shahdara Chowk, Saggian Bridge, and Bund Road will not be permitted. Attendees from other provinces are encouraged to use the motorway and Lahore Ring Road for a smoother journey.
