Balochistan and Sindh Announce Public Holidays for Hindu Employees

Balochistan and Sindh governments have announced public holidays for Hindu government employees to celebrate Diwali. In Balochistan, holidays will be observed from October 31 to November 2, showcasing the government’s commitment to promoting religious harmony and inclusivity within the province.

A statement from the Balochistan administration highlighted Diwali’s importance, known as the Festival of Lights, celebrated by Hindus worldwide. Additionally, the government ensured that salaries for Hindu employees were released on October 24, enabling them to participate in the festivities.

Meanwhile, the Sindh government has designated November 1, 2024, as a public holiday for the Hindu community across the province. According to a notification issued on Monday, this holiday applies to all government offices, including autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils.
