WWE has announced that superstar Rhea Ripley has suffered a “fractured right orbital socket” following a brutal attack on NXT.
The injury will keep Ripley out of action for an undisclosed period, leaving fans and fellow wrestlers concerned about her recovery and future in the ring.
WWE shared X-ray images on social media, confirming the severity of Ripley’s injury. The fractured orbital socket is a serious injury that will require time to heal, and WWE has not specified how long Ripley will be out of action.
The incident occurred during the October 19th episode of NXT, where Rhea Ripley made a surprise appearance. She was there to welcome Zaria to the brand and to motivate her and her tag team partners ahead of their upcoming match on November 6th.
The match, set to take place at the NXT 2300 Arena show, will feature Zaria teaming up with Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Kelani Jordan, and TNA’s Jordynne Grace against Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Fatal Influence.
However, the night took a dark turn when cameras captured a chaotic scene in the parking lot. Several referees were seen rushing to the area, where Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and her enforcer Raquel Rodriguez were spotted walking away with a baseball bat. It was soon revealed that their target had been Ripley, who was found lying battered and bloody next to a car.
On Thursday, Ripley addressed the situation publicly for the first time. Taking to social media platform X, she ominously hinted that the feud with Morgan and Rodriguez is far from over. She tweeted,
Mistake no.1 You left me breathing.
It remains to be seen when and where will Rhea Ripley make her return. For now, the attention shifts to next week’s WWE NXT 2300 Arena show. Stay posted for more updates as this situation develops.
