Now in a recent YouTube video, former wrestler Stevie Richards talked about Triple H, revealing that WWE took extensive and borderline odd measures to safeguard his image.
On his show, Richards revealed that the company went as far as prohibiting the 14-time world champion’s character from being shown losing in promotional footage for video games.
Steven Richards explained
There was a memo going around saying that Triple H cannot, under any circumstances, be shown in promotional materials, commercials, ads, screenshots, gameplay, in a vulnerable position or getting pinned. You wanna spend your time and resources on certain things when you run a company, and I don’t think that’s really something that should be in the top 10 or a hundred.
One of the biggest stars in the company since joining WWE in 1995, Triple H has featured in numerous video games. One of the top guys in the business, ‘The King of Kings’ and ‘The Game’ as he is known, was frequently headlining WrestleMania storylines and competing in world championship bouts throughout his career.
Triple H stepped away from in-ring competition in April 2022 following a heart failure episode the previous year. In July 2022, he took over as the Chief Content Officer, essentially succeeding his father-in-law, Vince McMahon.
