Pakistani newcomer Kamran Ghulam had to face a jibe from Kerry O’Keefe in the commentary box during Pakistan’s first innings against Australia.
Batting on 5 on his ODI debut, Kamran faced a “ripsnorter” of a delivery from Australia’s captain Pat Cummins that took his glove on its way to wicket-keeper Josh Inglis.
“This is not Multan Pitch, Baby; it’s the MCG,” O’Keefe said while commentating on the dismissal. His jibe was aimed at Ghulam’s innings in his debut test in Multan where the batter scored a century to help Pakistan break out of their losing skid.

The conditions in Australia, however, were vastly different than the ones he faced at home with Cummins’ ball taking off from the surface to leave him stranded.
With a better understanding of the conditions in his repertoire, Kamran Ghulam will hope for an improved showing in the next game on November 8th.
His shortcomings were indicative of Pakistan’s batting altogether as they were folded for 203. Captain Mohammad Rizwan led Pakistan’s efforts, falling just shy of a half-century with a gritty 44 off 71 balls with Naseem Shah providing a late boost, smashing 40 runs off 39 with the ret of the batters failing to bat in bowling friendly conditions.
Naseem and Shaheen rattled the Aussies early with wickets of Jake Fraser-McGurk and Matthew Short before Inglis and Steve Smith wrestled back the control for their side.
