Lahore’s Tamaseel Theater was sealed by Assistant Commissioner HR and Coordination Adnan Bashir on Wednesday, following complaints about immoral dance performances by actresses Khushboo and Nida Chaudhry.
The crackdown came after repeated warnings were issued to the performers, who continued to engage in controversial acts despite the official notices.
The sealing of the theater was carried out in collaboration with the staff of the Punjab Council of Arts. The decision was made in response to public concerns about the indecency of the performances and their negative impact on the community’s moral standards.
Khushboo and Nida Chaudhry had previously been given multiple notices regarding their performances, but both actresses reportedly ignored the warnings. The performances, which featured suggestive dances, were deemed inappropriate for public viewing.
