In a significant step to assist residents, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB) CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has expanded the availability of water tankers for the public.
According to the Hydrants Cell Incharge, the quota for subsidized water tankers has been increased, and a 24/7 window service is now operational at all official hydrants. This service allows citizens to book water tankers anytime, ensuring uninterrupted access to water.
To accommodate the public during ongoing repair work, the KW&SB has temporarily halted commercial tanker services for three days, particularly along University Road. During this time, water tankers will be distributed under the General Public Service, including for residential buildings.
The Hydrants Cell Incharge emphasized the importance of obtaining computerized e-slips when using tanker services. Citizens are encouraged to report any incidents where tanker operators fail to issue these e-slips.
For added convenience, the KW&SB has also shared contact numbers for all official hydrants, ensuring the public can access necessary information easily.

Pathetic service unable to reach on the location, useless drivers
We are poor country so we cannot supply water thru pipelines. But we can afford to burn diesel in water tankers for limited supply!
Why get wanted tankers throughout the year by water mafia,it’s our right to have water through pupe lines.And in CBC it’s impossible to get water tanker officially a their mobile app link is always down for water bowzer bc those given thrice a month to public are provided daily to VIPs.

Water supply through tanker is only for twice a month. Previously they were providing three tankers but now they insist once 1000 gal per month but as desi usual practice they are supplying twice in a month.

Really disappointing that instead of making efforts to supply water through existing pipelines, relevant authorities are pushing KHI residents towards a disgraceful process for getting water. Then monthly billing to the houses must be stopped.
