Oppo is preparing to launch its new foldable smartphone, the Find N5, in China next month. Touted as the world’s thinnest foldable, the Find N5 has been a hot topic in recent leaks and rumors.
A recent set of real-life images from Weibo gives us a closer look at its design and features.
The Find N5 is expected to break records with its ultra-slim profile. When unfolded, the phone reportedly measures just over 4mm thick on one side, which puts it ahead of the current thinnest Honor Magic V3, which is 4.4mm.
When folded, it is less than 9.2mm thick, which compares favorably with existing foldable devices. These dimensions suggest Oppo has focused heavily on engineering a sleeker, more portable device.
Newly leaked images show the Find N5 alongside the Oppo Find X8, highlighting its slightly thicker profile from a side view but a less noticeable difference from the bottom. The foldable features a round camera module with the Hasselblad logo, a punch-hole cutout for the cover screen’s selfie camera, and will reportedly come in black and white color options.
The Find N5 will undoubtedly showcase a triple-lens camera setup. Leaks have confirmed that the telephoto lens is positioned in the upper left corner of the camera module, while the flash is located in the lower right corner.
The foldable display’s crease appears to be well-controlled, based on the leaked images and reports. The older models already had a nearly invisible crease, putting it ahead of the competition such as the Galaxy Z Fold, but this upgrade should now put its rivals far behind.
Oppo has yet to officially confirm the Find N5’s specifications or release date, but the leaks suggest a significant upgrade over the Find N3 foldable, focusing on a thinner design, enhanced camera capabilities, and better display engineering.
As February approaches, we can expect Oppo to release more details about the Find N5. Stay tuned for updates on this highly anticipated foldable.
