A significant security lapse has been reported at Central Jail Adiala in Rawalpindi, where a high-profile prisoner involved in a drug case has allegedly escaped, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the accused, Noman from Chakwal, was transferred to Adiala Jail following a court appearance. Despite being handed over to the jail authorities by the concerned staff, he was found missing during the headcount.
While the jail administration has remained silent on the incident, sources confirmed that police have launched an investigation into the escape.
