Karachi Kings’ vice-captain Hassan Ali has addressed the recent trolling centered around his infamous phrase “King Karle Ga,” a reference to Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam where he called him a king and said he could do anything.
Following Karachi’s devastating loss to Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL X), Hassan was asked about his quote about his friend and national teammate Babar Azam during the post-match press conference. The fast bowler expressed his unwavering support for Babar Azam, dismissing the trolling as inconsequential to his career.
“I am at that stage of my career where nothing hurts me. I’ve been through these difficult times,” Hasan said. “We’ve made him a king, and we’re the ones behind him.”
Hassan Ali acknowledged the criticism but remained confident in Babar’s abilities to bounce back from his bad run of form. “If he won’t score runs based on what I say, then I say the ‘King Nahi Kare Ga‘,” he remarked. He also offered an apology for any perceived misstep, saying, “If you think I’ve made a big mistake, I apologize to everyone.”
Reiterating his faith in Babar, Hassan concluded, “My statement is the same, ‘He is the best, he was the best, he will come out of this stage.'”
