Fatima Sana Aims to Lead by Example as Pakistan Eye More Glory

Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Fatima Sana has revealed her vision for the team going forward after helping her side ace the Women’s World Cup Qualifier.

After being thrust into the leadership role at just 23 years of age, the bowling all-rounder has made it clear how she views leadership—not as a title, but as a responsibility to set the tone with actions, not just words.

Speaking about her growing role in the Pakistan women’s cricket team after her side’s latest win against Bangladesh, Fatima Sana said:

“It has always been my wish that whenever I lead, I lead from the front—not just with words, but through my actions. I hope to continue doing that.”

Fatima Sana has already become a key figure in the national side at such a young age.

Known for her fighting spirit, sharp seam bowling, and handy contributions with the bat, she has been one of the brightest products of Pakistan’s youth system, having made her debut in 2019 and quickly rising through the ranks.

Tasked with leading a new generation, Fatima’s mindset stands out. She’s not just holding the captain’s armband; she wants to inspire through performance.

And she’s done exactly that in recent months, leading her side to their sixth WODI World Cup after going unbeaten in the Qualifier. Her next goal as captain will be to make an impact on the international stage with the world’s eyes on her team.

With years of cricket still ahead of her, Fatima Sana and her team appear ready to take on the world.
