Latest PSL 2025 Standings After Gladiators Demolish Sultans

In one of the most ruthless displays of domination in the history of the PSL, Quetta Gladiators crushed Multan Sultans by 10 wickets, not only moving up in the latest standings but also inflicting more misery on Mohammad Rizwan’s men.

Needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, the Sultans’ challenge ended with a whimper as the surging Gladiators put the rest of the league on notice with another one-sided win.

Back at their brutal best, Quetta’s openers Saud Shakeel (42 off 20) and Finn Allen (45 off 21) made light work of Multan’s bowlers, hammering nine sixes between them and finishing the job with more than two-thirds of the innings unused. It was a clinical, no-nonsense performance that handed Multan their most humbling loss of the season and significantly boosted Quetta’s net run rate in the process.

Nothing went right for Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan, who slumped to 89 all out in 17 overs, their lowest total in the history of the competition. Only the skipper himself showed any resistance with an unbeaten 44 off 44, but he received no support from the rest of the batting lineup. Khurram Shahzad was the star with the ball once again, picking up 4 for 23, while Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim chipped in with two wickets each to flatten the Sultans.

Chasing 90, Quetta’s intent was clear from the first over: go big, go fast, and don’t let up. With Shakeel and Allen in beast mode, the Gladiators never gave Multan a sniff. The win, achieved with 13.1 overs to spare, is now among the fastest chases in PSL history for a 10-wicket victory.

Latest PSL 2025 Standings

This result moves Quetta up to second in the latest PSL standings. With just a few matches left for each team, the race for the final four is heating up fast. Quetta’s net run rate boost from this win could be decisive as things tighten at the top.

Position Team Matches (M) Wins (W) Losses (L) No Result (N/R) Points (PT) Net Run Rate (NRR)
1 Islamabad United 5 5 0 0 10 2.342
2 Quetta Gladiators 6 4 2 0 8 1.034
3 Lahore Qalandars 6 3 3 0 6 0.543
4 Karachi Kings 6 3 3 0 6 -0.217
5 Peshawar Zalmi 6 2 4 0 4 -0.847
6 Multan Sultans 7 1 6 0 2 -2.355

Quetta now has momentum, a healthy NRR, and a squad finally clicking with bat and ball. For Multan, it’s about building for the next season. Nothing has worked out for Rizwan and co. this year, and their focus should be on getting the team ready for next year.

PSL 2025 will continue tomorrow with the unbeaten Islamabad United taking on the home team, Lahore Qalandars.
