Here’s Why Scotland Won’t Host Pakistan Women’s Team

Cricket Scotland has announced that it will not be able to host the Pakistan women’s cricket team for a series ahead of the Women’s ODI World Cup this year. Steve Snell, Head of Performance at Cricket Scotland, explained that financial limitations are the main reason behind this decision.

“Pakistan are really keen to come across this summer, but the net result of us not qualifying is that we cannot afford to host them. So there won’t be a series against Pakistan in July, we cannot afford them, which sounds absolutely bonkers,” Snell said, highlighting the impact of Scotland’s non-qualification for the Women’s Cricket World Cup on their budget and planning.

This development means that the Pakistan women’s team will not have the opportunity to play in Scotland as part of their preparations for the World Cup.
