Multan Sultans Set Unwanted Record in PSL 10

Multan Sultans are having one of the worst PSL seasons in history, with their latest defeat at home summing up their PSL 10 campaign. Their seven-wicket loss to Peshawar Zalmi in Multan was not just another defeat—it capped off a run of poor performances and saw the team set an unwanted record in PSL history.

Batting first, Multan Sultans were bowled out for just 108 runs in 19.1 overs. Only Shai Hope and Tayyab Tahir managed to put up any resistance, while the rest of the batting order struggled. Peshawar Zalmi’s bowlers made quick work of the Sultans’ lineup.

But the real story is Multan Sultans’ repeated batting failures. With this latest collapse, Multan became the first team in PSL history to be bowled out for under 120 runs four times in a single season. This unwanted record sums up their disastrous campaign, which has been marked by poor execution, dropped catches, and a lack of consistency both with bat and ball.

Captain Mohammad Rizwan admitted after the match that the team failed to execute their plans and pointed to sloppy fielding as a major issue. While he praised the efforts of young bowlers like Shahid Aziz, the overall performance has not been up to the mark.

With eight defeats already, Multan Sultans’ season has been one to forget, and their latest record only adds to the disappointment for their fans. The team will need to regroup and rethink their approach if they want to avoid similar results in the future.
